5, 10, 15

When I was five,
I watched my mother cry
Because daddy left her
For the lady with the bright pink lips
That worked the cash register at the local mart

When I was ten,
I found my sister on her bedroom floor
With a bottle of pills
Because the boy she loved
Kissed the girl next door

But, I never really knew true heartbreak
Until I was fifteen,
And you told me you loved me
and then kissed my best friend

Skin and Bones

We're just skin and bones.
What makes another person beautiful and the other not?
We're all made out of the same thing.
We're just skin and bones.
